For years, websites have been constructed in a terrible format. We've been treating them as if they were traditional org charts, like the example here on the right.
The home page is the very top of the website, and people visiting this wonderful creation must trickle down like a bad game of PLINKO and hope to land on the right pages.
Instead, your website should be constructed like a Soccer Ball, where the dark spaces represent "landing pages" -- content that matters to each type of viewer to your website.
The white tiles surrounding each 'home page' represent content that matters to that section of the website (and sometimes it overlaps slightly).
Since search engines are already treating website visitors differently based on their search histories, keyword combinations and physical location (along with several other things), websites should also adapt to present content that is spefically designed for that visitor.
It sounds complicated, but it just takes a little more legwork on our end. We can explain in depth how we deploy this strategy and what it can mean for your website if you give us a call at 800-788-2230, or drop us a line at info@surfperch.com.
